Guidance for managing nicotine withdrawal in emergency care settings
Responding to a request from the Victorian Coroner in 2020, the VNSHS, Eastern Health and other stakeholders have developed guidance material to help address the risks for patients and health services associated with nicotine withdrawal in the emergency care setting. The guidance material sets out principles and practice points, with a focus on managing acute withdrawal as distinct from smoking cessation. Click here to download the guidance information.

Training for clinical staff (STANDARD 3)
